The Biotronic 400 is a fully automatic bio-fireplace in a slim, three-sided glass tower. It's mains-powered (230V), with a remote control, two flame heights, an automatic refill system, fuel level sensors and four safety sensors monitoring the fire while it runs.


Bioethanol burns as a vapour rather than as a liquid, so there's no smoke, soot or ash, which is why the Biotronic needs no chimney or flue. Burning good-quality fuel keeps it free of smells too. The only by-products are a small amount of water vapour and carbon dioxide released into the room, so a little ventilation, a slightly open window or vent, is recommended, and the fire should always be used as directed.
