The Biotronic 23RG is a fully automatic bioethanol fireplace with a curved front glass and two large side windows for a panoramic view of the flame from every angle. It's mains-powered, with a remote control, two flame heights, an automatic refill system from the built-in 5-litre tank, fuel level sensors and four safety sensors monitoring the fire while it runs.


Bioethanol burns as a vapour rather than as a liquid, so there's no smoke, soot or ash, which is why the Biotronic needs no chimney or flue. Burning good-quality fuel keeps it free of smells too. The only by-products are a small amount of water vapour and carbon dioxide released into the room, so a little ventilation, a slightly open window or vent, is recommended, and the fire should always be used as directed.


On the lowest flame setting a full 5-litre tank burns for around 25 hours; on a higher flame, allow nearer 15 hours.
